KiMuKu

Quest for the lost melody

KiMuKu 2005: Children from farious countries experience common music.

A project for children for understanding and reconciliation of different cultures by music and art

promoted by Ergosom Verein D e.V. Uslar,Germany and S.E.R. Foundation Germany.
July 2004 and August 2005

The KiMuKu-Project is accompanied by professional mimes and musicians with compositions and improvisations between early baroque Italian music and jazz. The frame ist the fairy-tail "Seven" by Imke David and Markus Köhl. The story, which is told in "Seven", is from a song created by Herbert van Veen. It tells about the power of music, which gives courage, joy and peace.

They produce the performance with children of different nations, religions and cultures within a week`s work. So the children get the possibility of presenting their circumstances of life and their own culture by acting spontaneously and developing and acting a scene of their own. So this project for children aims to contribute to reconciliation and communication between different cultures.

The S.E.R. Foundation Germany has patronage for this project.
